About Stressless’s Leather:
Ekornes is one of Europe’s largest consumers of leather. We purchase the leather from selected tanneries all over the world. Our own inspectors take part in the leather selection, which is conducted in accordance with international norms for quality determination. The experience we have gained from this work is for your benefit when you buy Stressless or Ekornes leather furniture. Our leather is manufactured according to current laws, guidelines and recommendations relating to their utilisation properties, and for the use and content of chemicals and other substances. We are cooperating with recognised international institutions in this line of business to ensure that we are updated at all times with events relating to health, safety and the environment.
Noblesse is the most exclusive leather quality offered by Ekornes. It is a full grain semi-aniline, which means that it is dyed all the way through and has only a thin protective topcoat. This allows the leather to keep the natural softness and lustre that characterises a first-class furniture leather. A natural material like Noblesse retains its original grain and structure. Minor color nuances and skin blemishes may also occur. Such individual details could lead to slight variations in different parts of the furniture cover. Although the topcoat provides a measure of protection, Noblesse is the most delicate of the leather qualities that Ekornes uses. It absorbs moisture easily, and is more vulnerable to wear and tear, heat, sunlight, spills and perspiration. Regular maintenance is important to keep its attractive appearance.
Batick is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed upholstery leather, which has had most of its natural marks removed. Batick may have a two-tone color effect to liven up the surface. Batick is resistant to fading, although changes in color will occur over time due to use and exposure to light. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning. Simple cleaning, excellent durability and a reasonable price make Batick a good choice.
Cori is a corrected, pigment improved and grain embossed upholstery leather. Cori is somewhat thicker and has a larger pebbled grain than Batick. Most of its natural marks are removed. Also, some of the Cori colors have a two-tone color effect to liven up the surface. A protective layer of lacquer simplifies cleaning. Cori is a wise choice if you want leather with excellent durability.
PALOMA is a slightly corrected leather with a combination of dyes and pigments that smoothes down some of the structure (the grain pattern) of the leather. The grain structure in Paloma may, however, vary a little at some parts of the furniture, and also minor color nuances may appear in the leather. Natural marks, scars and insect bites are natural and will appear in Paloma. A thin coat of lacquer gives Paloma some protection and simplifies cleaning, but Paloma does not have the same heavy-duty quality and protection as Batick and Classic. Due to its soft, natural and comfortable expression, Paloma is a very popular choice.

Calido is a wool felt that feels comfortable and soft against your skin. It is incredibly soft and flexible, and stretches well. Wool is warm when it is cold and cool when it is warm. It also breathes naturally. Wool is naturally water-repellent, but be sure to remove moisture and stains immediately, to prevent them from seeping into the fabric and leaving stains.
Crocus is a 100% polyester classic fabric at a great price, and features a range of clean, classic colors. This is a durable and strong fabric that is easy to care for.
Dinamica is a third generation ultra microfibre textile. It has a suede look, is soft to the touch and has high comfort value. It breathes and is antistatic. It is washable, easy to clean and does not attract dirt. It uses recycled fibers and is recyclable
Iris is a classic, yet trendy boucle fabric. There are several different colors present in the weave, which creates an exciting starting point for color combinations. The small loops in the fabric may obviously become a little flattened after long-term use, and regular hoovering is important in order to keep the fabric looking great for years to come.Karma has a soft, harmonious multicolored expression. The extensive color palette also includes a few more ‘lively’ colors. The fabric is strong and durable, with just a little stretch. It is also easy to clean.
